Planning for All Assets

What if future generations missed out on 2/3
of the wealth available because these assets
were not included in your plan?
Eredità works with families and their advisors to ensure all assets are included in the planning and transition process.
According to Jay Hughes, the “grandfather of family wealth counseling,” a family’s wealth consists of 3 broad categories of capital: human, intellectual, and financial.
-
Human capital includes the members of the family, their relationships with each other, their relations with those outside the family, and their physical and emotional health.
-
Intellectual capital includes the combined wisdom and knowledge of family members, as well as their gifts, skills, talents, beliefs, and dreams.
-
Financial capital includes physical and investment assets
If I told you that you could only pass along one of these types of capital, which one would you choose?
All three bring value.
So why is it that most planning includes only one – the financial?
